People often ask, “Why should I choose Stan Green’s Elite Guide Service when looking for the ultimate fishing experience?” The next thing they always want to know, and rightfully so, is what qualifies me as being a professional guide. I understand people want someone they can trust when looking for an experienced guide for their crappie and bass fishing adventures on Pomme de Terre and Lake of The Ozarks. You want to have a safe and fun time with someone you can trust. Below is a bit of my background as well as my qualifications.
I have lived in the area all of my life and became very familiar with fishing on the Lake of The Ozarks and Pomme de Terre lake at a young age. I guess you could say fishing is in my blood. It is something that has always been a part of my life and I thoroughly enjoy.
I have been fishing competitively on lakes here in South West Missouri for over 35 years. In 2014 I was Basscat National Team Championship winner, in 2007 Bass World Sports lake Ozark division 1 top points team and I have numerous local and regional wins and top 10s.
Aside from fishing, I taught machine tool, welding and drafting for 6 years and drove a school bus for 13 years. I was also a Missouri certified school bus driver trainer for 10 years. I retired from the school district in 2021. I love teaching!
I am currently the Captain for one of our local High School fishing teams. This team has been very successful the past two seasons fishing the Nation Youth Fishing Association Missouri division. My wife and I also own a successful business in Lebanon MO and have for nearly 30 years.
